Cleaning a microwave: is lemon juice the right cleaning fluid?
You want to clean your microwave? You’ve heard that lemon juice is good. After all, it’s a household substance that you’ve always got around. We advise you not to clean your microwave with lemon juice. To clean your microwave properly, we recommend removing the turntable and cleaning it in soapy water. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth. Never use the rough side of a universal sponge as this might scratch the interior surfaces. Oven cleaner should not be used under any circumstances. Ideally, don’t wait too long before cleaning the microwave, but always clean it immediately after warming and preparing food. This way, the microwave is quickly and easily cleaned. Lemon juice isn’t necessary for cleaning your microwave.
